Draught at the brewery, 4.9% ABV
Nice aroma, deep, hoppy, malty, with hay; balanced. Dry and lean mouthfeel; the malt has a straw accent; good hopping, providing some hop resins, not much fruity though.
Good, lean beer.

Draught at Serious Biscuit, Seattle
Red brown color with creamy head. It has a very rich chocolate and roasted malt character, not ashy, with moderate sweetness.
Excellent. --- Beer merged from original tick of Northwest Porter on 06 Sep 2016 at 19:12 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Original review text: Draught at Columbia City Ale House, Seattle
Dark color, almost black, with creamy head. Smooth, but with a strong coffee character, dry, roasty. I can’t understand how this is a Porter (rather a Stout), but it’s not a bad beer.

On tap at Stoup, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is subtle, with notes of light English hops. Flavour brings out English hops, biscuity malt, and some zestiness. Pretty dry, with a zesty English hop finish. Decent bitter.

On tap at Brouwer's, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of skunky herbal pot-like hops, body odour, and some weird plasticy off-flavours. Flavour is thankfully more pleasant, with notes of floral hops, pine, and candied sugar - surprisingly very different from the nose. Very solid stuff.

On tap at Stoup, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma toasted malt and meaty notes. Flavour brings out dark roasted malt, some almost smoked notes, and really dry notes. Super dry and roasty palate. One of the most complex and drinkable porters I've had. Most excellent.

On tap at Stoup, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma of toasted notes and dry bready malts. Flavour bring out toasted nuts, English malts, and dry caramel. Lots of depth to this, with a very dry, English-y malt profile. Delicious.

On tap at Stoup, pours a cloudy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma of resinous hops and caramel malts. Flavour brings out resinous hops, rye-like notes, caramel malts, and pine. Really well-crafted. Thick palate, with a strong flavour profile. Great stuff.

On tap at Stoup, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma of dry bready malt, dry caramel, and a touch of hops. Flavour reveals dry bready malts, English malt, and a significant hop profile to dry things out. Quite drinkable, as there are no abrasive elements. Good stuff.

On tap at Stoup, pours a clear golden with a small beige head. Aroma of crackery malt, dry piney hops, and quite a bit of grassy bite. Flavour brings out piney hops, biscuit malt, and some resin. Really dry and smooth, making this exceedingly drinkable. Unusual depth to this given that it's an ISA. Wonderful stuff.

On tap at Stoup, pours a cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Aroma of banana upfront, with a little clove. Flavour brings out shitloads of fresh banana, with clove to a lesser degree. One of the most banana-dominated beers I've had. Delicious hef.
