330ml bottle from Low Cost Beers. Clear golden colour, white foam head and aroma of corn grain, grassy. Taste is sweet, malty, grainy, with grass, hay and papery bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, sweetish grassy cardboardy bitter finish. OK.

Bottle from Low Cost Beer dot com. It pours clear golden - blonde with a small white head. The aroma is grassy, leafy, toasty grain, grain husk, cereal and white bread. The taste is firmly dry, bitter - sweet, grassy, leafy, herbal, sweet doughy white bread, rich tea biscuit, toasty grain a touch of soapiness with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. It's alright for the style.

330ml can via Beer52: BB 13th January 2024. Poured into a Gordon's thistle shaped glass at home on 18th September 2023 during a tasting session with myself. Lively pour, huge tanned head on a black body. Wishy washy for me, a Stout for sure, but it's not Oak chipped enough for me, maybe some wood like flavours in the chocolate/coffee taste but it lacks oomph and depth. Had a couple of Belgian beers before having this and they knocked socks off it!

[33cl can from Beer52.] A bright copper coloured pour with a ring of beige head; caramel aroma; rather thin with a fruity caramel taste at first, then some wheat shows up; then there’s a hint of grassy bitterness at the end. Nothing wrong with this, but nothing to like either.

Bottle from Low Cost Beer. Appearance - golden orange with a slight haze and a snow white head. Nose - banana, creamy and an edge of nutmeg. Taste - creamy banana again. Light nutmeg follows it in. Something a touch caramel and bready too. Palate - light to medium bodied, creamy middle, with a light spicy bitterness on the finish.

Bottle from Low Cost Beer. Appearance - golden orange and pretty clear. Thin white head. Nose - green beans, salad and an edge of orange. Taste - bread, caramel and orange. Palate - light bodied, sweet middle and finish fairly dry. Overall - I want more crisp bitterness on a pilsner. But ok.

Can from Beer 52 – drank at home. Pours almost black with a vigorous but transient beige head (became a lighter tan colour when it settled), and good lacing. The aroma has roasted malts and figs with hints of liquorice. Figs again to the fore in the mouth, plus roasted malts, with bittersweet notes and traces of dark fruits and chocolate. Some woody aging apparent as well. Finish is bittersweet. This is rather nice – though it is a bit of a gimmick.

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy mahogany coloured pour with a ring of beige head, rather nice colour, but very flat; odd vegetal aroma; strange taste as well, with a creamy body ; and a little burnt grain bitterness to finish. Odd.

330ml can via Beer52: BB 21st March 2024. Drank at home in the early hours of 27th April 2023. Poured into my Gordon's thistle shaped glass, it looked good; black with a thin tanned head. Ground coffee in the nose and taste, I have decided that Fava beans are not for me and this beer isn't either, nearly poured it down the sink.
