Description
The Giuman brothers and the brewer Federico Casarin, very fond of the beauty of nature and its products, plunge themselves in that liquid which has been going along with humans for millenniums.

The first boiled must in 2008, realized with a handmade plant, marks the beginning of a journey which first landmark is the construction and the start up of Doge Brewery in 2013. Doge’s beer arises from selected earth fruit and local spring water. In our beer there is all the power of the venetian culture along with the assurance of a high-quality product.

Birrificio del Doge is going to take you to a brand new stage of beer history, a journey which starts trough Italy and arrives in Venice, yet it does not end.

Decent easy drinking Belgian blonde ale. Some florals and a little straw. Comes together well. Like a saison/Belgian strong blonde hybrid. Bottle at a small bar in downtown Valletta.

33cl bottle from Alko. Poured reddish brown color with a thick white head. Bready malty, caramelly aroma, papery notes. Flavor has caramel, bready, malty, some herbal hops. Bit stale. Not a style I'm very fond of.

Copper-amber colour, small beige head. Quite neutral aroma: it has some caramel, some lurking breadyness, mentholy hops. Light to medium-bodied. Flavour is very similar: caramalts are on top, then some bready maltyness and hops ... I would say "mentholy". Ok, modern amber, feels more ale than lager. Needs more hops and a bit less caramalt.

Orange colour, small white head. Fruity, harsh aroma. Light-bodied. Sweet fruity, pear or green apple, low bitterness. Underlying grainyness. Tolerable but feels more like an ale than lager.
