500 ml screwcap bottle, bought at Otto Duborg, Flensburg, Germany. Unpasteurised. Clear (filtered???) golden colour, large and lasting white head. Fruity and flowery aroma, hints of honey. Moderate carbonation, soft moutheel. Moderate malty flavour, very moderate hops. Easy drinking, but not remarkable.

500 ml screwcap bottle, simply named "Engel Dunkel", confirmed by the brewery website. Bought at Otto Duborg, Flensburg, Germany. ABV is 5.3% (label), brewery website says 5.2%. Unpasteurised but filtered. This is their ordinary Dunkel, not to be confused with their unfiltered Engel Kellerbier Dunkel. Beautiful clear chestnut colour, large and lasting off-white head. Pleasant malty aroma with strong notes of bakery, chocolate and caramel. Moderate carbonation. Malty sweet flavour with a moderate roastiness, notes of Danish pastry, hints of over-ripe berries. Some hops in the finish.

(bottle) Cloudy and hazy orange colour with a big foamy white head. Shy clovy and slightly banana-fruity nose. Light-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, lively carbonated. Moderately sweet wheaty taste with banana and a rather unpleasant fizzy and clovy finish. Not very round, not very good.

A yellow beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty and so is the flavor, but in the flavor notes of caramel mixes in.

A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and wheat, while the flavor is plainly sweet wheaty. Thanks Jeppe (bierkönig) for this one.

Bottle: Hazy, small, but very stable white head; first appear (typical) fruity aromas: bananas, lemons and cloves to make later way for a little floral hoppiness; mild fruiy (citrousy)- bitter flavour; finish begins citrousy to become later hoppy-bitter. Quite pleasant, but maybe not the new brew, the world was waiting for....

An amber beer with a huge orange head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet with primary notes of caramel. Nothing wrong - nothing special.

Bottle. Semi-fresh hop aroma. Slightly cloudy golden colour. Big white head, quite stable. Medium, sharp bitterness. OK mouthfeel. The flavour is a bit anonymous and I do not like the Campari-like bitterness.

Bottle. 5.4%. Almost clear yellow colour, a lot cloudier towards the bottom, and finally with small floaties (not past BB date). Big. stable white head. Sweetish flavour, a little aroma hops. A lot like the other Engel beers.
