Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 8/12/2016. Amber in colour with a moderately sized, off-white, head. Malty aroma with a touch of hedgerow fruit. Flavour was also malty, with some caramel sweetness and chilli warmth on the lips and tongue in the finish. Ok.

500ml bottle bought at Kjeller 5. A rocky, pearl white head over a clear, warm golden body. Crocheted lacing. Mild citrus and brown malts on the nose. Some sappy orange to the taste buds, hints of earth and caramel. Short lived bitter endnotes. Rather thin bodied. Soft in the mouth. Okay with our Sunday dinner (Tromsø 13.11.2016).

Cask ale, half pint at George’s Meeting House (JDW). Pearl white head, next to clear amber-gold body, fragile lacening. Malt-fruity aroma, mid-dry. Blended flavours of pears, mid-dry apples and caramel followed by a bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Pretty alright (Exeter 29.09.2016).

500ml bottle shared with Finn at Imperial (JDW). Rocky off-white head to a clear golden-brown body. Fair lacing. Bread-like malts and dried fruity nose. Brown malty flavours soon overrun and ruined by the chilli heat. We did not empty the bottle (Exeter 29.09.2016).
