Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen en thuis gedronken. Goudgeel bier met matig grof schuim dat snel weg trekt. Aroma van grapefruit en citroen. Smaak van citrus fruit en hop. Nasmaak is bitter.

Zoet, eikenhout, zaagsel, wat alcohol, rozijnen, alsof het al wat ouder is, wat tijm. Een tikkie scherp zelfs. Licht verwarmend. Aardige barley wine, maar ik heb ze liever zachter, voller en zwaarder.

Keg at the Great British Beer Festival 2019 - London. Pours Lightly hazy amber-brown-red with a small, foamy topping. Medium sweet with notes of toasted malts, toffee, bread, low bitterness. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sweet, sugary finish, nips of dried berries, toffee. Good enough.

Bottle. Black. Soft roast, dried fruit and a hint of licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with roast, licorice, dried fruit, vinous, full bodied. Quite complex, powerful and warming.
