Aroma of malt, shitloads of oak, some peat, whisky notes, some coffee and chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet. The most oaky BA from Emelisse I’ve had, I enjoyed it a lot.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malt, toffee, caramel, sweet dried fruits, candy sugar, booze, hint of hops. Flavour is sweet with a light bittersweet finish. Not as impressive as most of the other White Label beers, but a decent Barley Wine regardless.

Bottle at home. Aroma of roasted malt, plenty of liquorice, molasses, some coffee, bourbon, vanilla, oak, leather. Flavour is sweet with a solid bitterness in the aftertaste. Body is full, mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Massive and very refined, heavy on the liquorice. Another excellent slow sipping beer in the dependable White Label series.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malts, bourbon, plenty of vanilla, oak, caramel toffee, syrup, some dried fruits. Flavour is heavy sweet and a bit boozy. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Body is full, mouthfeel a bit sticky. Massive and sweet, a beast of a Barley Wine. Just a tad too cloying for me to be a true winner.

Bottle at home. Aroma of dark fruits, lots of black berries, sugary notes. Flavour is quite sweet, a bit too much for me to enjoy. Body is medium. Shame about the sweetness because I do like the black berries aroma.
