Description
Lukes beer quest began after tasting a friends homebrew. Luke started home brewing in his kitchen in 2011, producing 200 pints at a time. As demand for his beers grew, much to the relief of his family he set up a small brewery in a barn near his home. Whilst his brewery is still small scale he is now able to produce 1,800 pints a week.

Note: Hay On Wye is in Wales, but the brewery is just across the border in England.

Cask @ Shrewsbury real ale festival 2019, St Mary's Church. Pours dark with frothy tan head. Lots of coffee and roast on the nose. Prominent coffee character overall, nice smooth malt body, roast, soft chocolate with distant caramel notes. Good stuff.

Keg @ Station. Pours opaque deep orange, good white head. Luscious mango aroma. Taste is smooth with incredibly clear and vibrant mango fruit that jumps out the glass. Hard to recall a beer with so much mango flavour. Smooth lactose integration, light bitterness. Excellent.

Hazy orange - gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth but grainy malts. Modest and slightly tangy orange, traces of lemon and tangerine. Semi dry finish. Really not doing anything for me. Grainy and dull in the hop dept.
