Clean amber color. Grassy hop aroma, metallic. Round and soft mouthfeel, with malt flavor, some toffee, strong bitterness, a bit buttery. Good final, with toffee too, fresh Bitter.

Poured a light brown with a bubbly light brown head. Sour leafy like aroma. Dry taste that reminded me of tea and leafs, finished bitter.

Frist rating(50 cl bottle at Haket, Gothenburg) Clear light brown color, white head. Strong scent of malt and hops, sweet and bitter. High thick palate. High bitterness, sharp and domoianting. A bit fruity taste before you swallow it, but then too dominating bitterness takes over. Rather dry and high in minerals. Some spices.6/3/4/3/10=2.6Second rating.(500 ml can from a friend from London)Clear copper to brown color, tan head. Fruity buttery scent, applesauce. Mainly bitter but also fruity taste. Cask at The Crown, Charlton on Otmoor, Oxon. To be honest I viewed this with some scepticism having had the bottle version recently, which in fairness I had also viewed with about as much enthusiasm as having my eyes gouged out with chopsticks, that said the bottle wasn’t as bad as I expected and this faired ever so slightly better. Poured an amber colour but the first whiff was definately of Apples which was strange coming from what looked like an everday bitter. Other than the instantly detectable apple which struck me as being a bit of artificial smell I didn’t think that this appeared so artificial in the taste department, much maltier than I expected and maybe a little bit sweet but you know this proved to be better than I had anticipated.

Bottle Sainsburys, Kidlington. Thought that I had already rated this having tried the cask version of this last night, and this bottled version few weeks back. Apple flavoured beer mmhhh... it’s never really gonna’ be a winner is it? Amber coloured, with quite a fruity, zesty flavour with a bitterness at the end, ok so I sort of knew I wouldn’t like it but to fair it wasn’t as bad as I expected.

Cask @ The Devonshire Arms, South Normanton: in perfect condition, bright rich amber colour with a dense head which faded slowly. Good balance of fruit and bitterness.

Cask, Handpumpe. Deep red/brown with a dense off-white small head. Aromas are light malts with a soft fruitiness. Earthy and dry with floral hopping. Flavours are dry biscuit malts with some fruit. Dry on the finish. A bit thin in flavour.

Cask Conditioned. Light Brown bitter with creamy head. The flavor is hoppy from aroma hops, that gives a note of flowers and elderflower. An average bitter. Bland in flavour, not too much bitterness, sweet in malt, no outstanding features.

Cask handpull at Admiral Owen, Sandwich. Deep brown colour with thin disappearing white head. Apple, caramel and some yeast on the aroma. Bit tart in mouth with apple blossom perfumed apple fruit finish. Not how I remember it. Certainly more appley
