Description
At Hop City, we create beer that inspires the curious, and fuels the restless.

We embrace the journey as much as you do. We take risks, make wrong turns, and just go for it.

For us, it’s about believing in curiosity. Because even though it may have killed the cat, before he died, that cat probably had a pretty good time.

(bottle, 34.1cl) Clear, amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Fruity hoppy and delicately spicy hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, lemon and blackcurrant, backed by mildly bready cara-malt. Moderately bitter and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly bready and caramelly malt upfront with a rising hop profile from the middle part, including fruity and moderately resiny/piney, as well as herbal spicy accents, leading into a dry and quite bitter finish. Likeable but not perfectly balanced. 26.X.14

Can: Poured a hazy pale yellow color ale with a light foamy head with minimal lacing. Aroma of medium wheat malt notes with limited ester. Taste is also dominated by wheat malt notes with no real bubble gum notes and limited ester and a dry finish. Body is light with OK carbonation. Unfortunately this one is a bit too bland for my taste buds.

Bottle. Hazy, golden body with microfloaties and a dense, finger-thick beige head of moderate size. Quite piney and fruity aroma with some grass notes. Caramel hints and some toffee. It’s full-bodied and dry, with a soft carbonation. Piney, resiny and fruity flavor with a nice bitterness. Lasting bitter and piney finish with some maltyness. Quite nice this one. 141025

A hazed orange amber ipa with a thick lacing mocha head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light citrus pulp, light sulfur, nice. In mouth, surprisingly good for a Moosehead, with biscuit malt, caramel, floral piney hops, light citrus, quaffable yet pleasing... 500 ml can.

On tap at Toronto Airport. Copper with a tight white head; malty aroma; soft caramel malt taste; and a dry spicy bitterness to finish. Quite pleasant.
