Can 1 pint. Pours a cloudy, opaque greyish amber with a tiny, white head. Heavy banana esters up front. Loads of yeast and cloves as well. Medium body, very classic Hefeweizen characteristics, the banana esters come out rather sweet but the beer itself is pleasantly dry. And ends dry. Not a bad stab at the style at all. So if you’re into Hefes, this shouldn’t scare you away. 010714

The Sampler, Brooklyn 16 ounce can: Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma is banana and a little bit of spice. Taste is rather much on the sweet side. Very fruity. Little in the way of hops and spice. Not bad, but probably too sweet for me.

12 oz. can. Color is bright hazy yellow with lasting head in the shaker glass. Aroma is mostly floral hops with light traces of grapefruit.
Light pale malt provide a medium base and lighter body. The hop varieties give grapefruit peel, hints of pine with a blast of floral and editable flowers in the finish. Drying texture on the tongue. Overall this hits the mark for the style and with it sold in cans you can take it to the beach or family get together and not get piss drunk. Crushable indeed.

Mugs Ale House, Brooklyn tap: Pours golden with white head. Aroma is citrus, resin, and light malt backbone. Taste is bitter and surprisingly full. I did not realize that this was such a light beer. It should get big ups for pulling one over on me, if for nothing else. Overall good beer from this relatively new brewer.

12 oz. bottle thanks to phatdog1. Color is light ruby with no head. Aroma is berry, lots and lots of berries. raspberry, blueberry and shanzeberries.

Tap @ Beer Temple (taster size). Pale blonde color, hazy/cloudy. Dense white head with good retention. Aroma’s: citrus, sour fruit, a bit dusty, grainish. A bit of caramel retronasal as well. Flavor is light sweet (caramel) with a hint of bitterness. Light bodied. A bit dry finish with a light earthy bitterness.
