Opaque black beer, small brown head. Chocolate, dark malt and a whisper of brandy on the nose. Light palate - especially considering this big beast! Dark malt, mellow coffee, touch of brandy. A little tangy fruit. Dry finish with some minerals. Generally hides the abv well apart from a nice warmth on the finish. Very nice Impy.

50 cl bottle. Rated on 30.03.2010
Pitch black colour. Aroma has vegetables typical to Danish ales and some licorice. Flavour has burning alcohol, some licorice and salmiac. Decent, but I expected much more from a 14% imperial stout. This one gave me a headache for the next day.

Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy dark brown with a very fast small offwhite head, lots of yeast fragments floating around. Aroma of malt, tart fruit ( apples), brown sugar, dusty cellar. Taste is sour and tart fruit, wood, sweet caramel malt. Thin body, low carbonation, infected. Drainpour. While entering my backlog of Duelund beers, i was reminded ( by the very low overall / style score ) that i had a botlle of this beer. Bought at the brewery 161010, tasted 060711
