Description
The brewery Fuglsang can rightly call itself Denmark's oldest family-owned brewery. Søren Christian Fuglsang founded the brewery in 1865, and today it is some of his great-grandchildren who, with respect for the craft and the raw materials, produce solid South Jutland beer.

The family also runs its own export malt factory, which is Denmark's largest and one of the few independents in Europe - it is the one that supplies a large part of the good malt to Fuglsang's beer.

An amber beer with a huge dense orange head. The aroma is sweet yeasty combined with some citrusy hop notes. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, and vegetables, as well as lighter notes of metal and hops. The end is slightly acidic and citrusy, and the body is thin inspite of the 5.2% ABV. Nothing special.

[At Københavnske Øldage 2005] An amber beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is sweet yet slightly acidic. The flavor is sweet, with slight hints of malt and a dry finish. Not an impression first shot at an Ale - either stick to brewing lagers or work harder to bring out an ale with some taste.
