A copper colored beer with a fluffy off-white head. The aroma is sweet with dusty notes from the hops, and some notes of nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry metallic bitter finish. I don’t like the hops used.

(Bottle 33 cl) As "Fuglsang NightingAle". Pours a slightly hazy amber golden with a small, off-white head. Aroma of nuts and caramel. Medium body with notes of nuts, roasted malt and caramel with a touch of fruit. The finish is mainly dry with a lightly metallic edge. 5/3/6/3/11=2.8 170706 Bottle 33 cl) As "Fuglsang Hertug Ale". Dark amber colour with a slight haze and absolutely no head. Very malty aroma - roasted malt. Flavour has the same roasted notes combined with some caramel and nuts - without being sweet at all. Light fruity notes. Albeit being topfermented, this beer has the distinctive Fuglsang touch - you can really speak of house character here. I always thought it was the yeast, but perhaps it’s rather (their own) malt? 6/2/5/2/12=2.7 280905

Bottled. Golden, clear beer, with a decent white head. Alcohol-notes, malt and fruityness in the aroma. Caramel, alcohol, fruityness and malt in the flavor. Medium body and a finish with some bitterness and too much alcohol. Not the best bock around, but somewhat pleasant anyhow. (060703)

Can. Almost copper-colored, with an off-white head. Fruity aroma with hay and malt. Flavor has much the same, but the malt is more in the front row here. Thin body and a lightly fruity finish. Decent, but nothing to repeat. (060616)

Bottle. 4.8%. Unpleasant citric aroma. Copper colour, very small head. OK maltiness and a little aroma hops. Aftertaste dominated by unpleasant bitterness.
