Half pint, cask, shared with Finn at Brewery Tap. Bubbly patches on the surface of a clear, late straw coloured body, fair lacing. Ripe citrus smell, hints of dusty hops, inviting. Herbal hops and grainy malts to the taste buds. Hints of citrus shells to a smooth bitter ending. Likable. (Norwich 11.11.2021).

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers, Graham!]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee, some cocoa, a touch of vanilla and lactose, minimally doughy overtones. Taste is roasty, dark malty, notes of coffee, some cocoa, a sweet-ish touch of lactose, vanilla. Watery texture, slightly dry, minimally repellent palate, medium to coarse, prickly, foamy carbonation. Nice coffee flavours, sadly rather overcarbonated - OK.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thank you very much, Graham!]. Opalescent, amber colour with small, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Fruity and slightly leafy, hoppy aroma, minimally grainy-spicy, malty background, rather unspecific fruitiness on a spectrum between peach, apricot and marmalade. Taste is grainy-spicy, minimally husky malty, slightly fruity, minimally leafy hoppy, condensed hints of unspecific fruitiness, a touch of marmalade, peach, apricot; lingering, fine, fruity finish. Creamy texture, smooth, soft and silky, minimally cloying palate, very fine, soft to flat carbonation. Not overly intense, but very fine, subtle, smooth - nice.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Deep red colour, bubbly white foam head that dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of ribena, blackcurrant, blackberry, sugary. Taste is sweet berries, blackberry & blackcurrants, with some apple and alittle tartness. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, medium-sweet finish. Quite OK
