Cask at a country village pub, the Vernon Arms in Southrepps in Norfolk. Golden-amber with a small head. Light caramels for a light bitterness.

Cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small foamy cream head and good lacing. There’s malts and butter in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture but a little watery. Malts to the fore alongside cola with hints of nuts and liquorice coming later. Finish is a little fruity. This is reasonable.

Handpull cask at the Fat Cat & Canary. Eddish brown and clear with a smallish loose off-white head. Woody aroma, light malts, a touch of smoke. Sweet initial taste gives way to a decent little bitter finish. Suggestion of berries in the aftertaste. A pretty basic bitter but an enjoyable one.

Handpull cask at the Fat Cat & Canary, Norwich. Mid-level gold, clear with a small bit of uneven white head and a bit of spotty lacing. Light aroma of citrus, berries, some grassy character. Bittersweet taste, Mosaic hops aplenty here. Some welcome astringency in the more bitter finish. Slightly oily body, soft carbonation. A nicely hopped golden.

Cask at the Fat Cat & Canary, a walk east on main road passing the rail station in Norwich. Very dark, not quite black with a bubbly head. Milky roasted malts do adorn aroma and taste, although there's a robustness in its aftertaste.

Handpull cask at the Fat Cat, Norwich. Light to mid-gold, clear with a loose white head. Scent of bready tropical fruit, maybe a touch of apricot. Bittersweet taste, some loquat, astringent bitterness gently handing in the finish. Light to medium body, a little bit oily, soft carbonation. Good.
