Cask at GBBF 2007. A very dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted malt - the roasted malt lending it a slight acidity combined with a slight note of berries. The flavor is sweet mlaty with light notes of roasted malt, berries and vegetables, leading to a slightly bitter and roasted finish. The mouthfeel is very smooth. Nice, but the body is thin.

Cask at Wenlock Arms, London. A deep red beer with a creamy beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with light roasted notes. The flavor is sweet malty with medium notes of roasted malt combined with lighter notes of chocolate, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is thin. OK, but not my favorite style.

Hazy, near-black brown; bottled version of B.C.H. Sweet nose, with sweet apples and English hops. Lightly sweet, liquorice, cardboard flavours and precious little hops left. Light body, but very slick. A bit light as a porter, compared to DK/USA porters. But rather attractive easy-drinking one.
