(Bottle 34,1 cl) Pours a hazy, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head. Fat, oily hop aroma. Very full - almost fat - body with lots of caramel and a distinct, hoppy finish. A very solid IPA. 140506

Cloudy amber. Way too much fizz, way too much head. Woody, lemony, medicinal aroma. Very bitter, earthy like drinking topsoil. A little bit of wood but I’m not getting much. The hops aren’t at all fresh and I really don’t get much appeal out of the vague caramel malts. Doesn’t seem like you were supposed to taste them at all really. Clumsy, amateurish beer that offers me no reason to drink it.

Black color; small head. The smoke aroma is still very nice, with roasted malt, and very light traces of oxidisation. The body is not very strong, there is a good mix of caramel, chocolate, light smoke, but also light liquorice and oxidisation, signs of age. Tired, but not bad.

Blond color. The malt aroma is overwhelmed by a pungent smokey and vanilla. Medium body, good mix of malt, liquorice, smoked malt; it ends with a coffeish note… Good.

Brown color. Malty and nutty aroma. Malt taste, roasted malt, nuts, strong bitterness. Not special, but ok…

Bottled, thanks Rastacouere! Mahogany colour, near no head. Distinct port aroma. Sweet and full bodied with dense mouthfeel. Very vinous r brandy-like. Rich and elegant. Finishes with cherry-like fruitiness.

Cloudy bright red colour. Aroma of lemon, lime and berry. Flavour is a bit stale perhaps with some hard candy, fruity hops and background chewy malts.

[Vintage 2005 - sampled March 2006] A deep red beer with a nice brown head. The aroma is very complex with strong notes of prunes, combined with notes of alcohol, chocolate, and berries. The flavor is less interesting, but still nice; quite sweet with quite strong notes of berries, combined with lesser notes of prunes, wood, alcohol, and roasted malt. The end is quite dry with notes of wood lingering.

Golden-brown colour. Toffee, alcohol and crackerlike aromas. Sweet, brown sugar flavour with light molasses. Simple but tasty, and surprisingly not a lot of booziness.
