Cask at Flowerpot, Derby (said to be 6.9%) Pours a very dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Has an enticing fruity and smoky aroma with raisins to the fore. A nice combination of tastes for the mouth to digest as well – prunes, coffee, Christmas cake all with some alcoholic strength. Finish is bitter and boozy ! This is rather nice, and easy drinking for its strength.

Cask @ Mill Hotel, Chester [290418]
A3, N6, T6, P3, O12
Blond, clear, dense white head
Aroma of light sweet fruits, light sweet peach and apricot perhaps
Taste of spicy hops, some sweet creamy pale malts, light peach fruits, some bitter minerals
Palate - Medium body. Finish is dry, rather bitter linger
Overall - Wasn't keen at first but got better with the drinking but still rather average for me
