Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours a clear dark copper colour with hardly any head. Aromas of caramel, floral hops and biscuits. Taste is similar to the aroma with more caramel, floral and also some citrus, peppery spice, nuts and grassy notes. Light to medium bodied with a smooth oily mouthfeel and a fairly long floral/grassy hop finish. Ok but nothing special.

3/2/2020. Bottle from Westholme Stores (Londis), Goring. Pours clear golden amber with a small just off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, mixed fruit, hops, flowers, touch of caramel. Medium plus sweetness, low bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sweet finish. Bit of a disappointing way to bring up the 100 for Cumbria.

On cask at the Britannia, Elterwater. Appearance - light amber. Nose - toffee, brown bread. Taste - biscuits and toffee. Citrus lurking. Palate - light bodied and roasty in texture. Dry-ish roasty finish. Overall - it's similar bit a bit weaker in flavour than the Landlord it's supposed to be modelled on.

Bottle conditioned, Dutch ratebeer meeting. Brakspear version: Hoppy grapefruit aroma with pear. Thin, but full of flavor. Grapefruit and mandarin. Just a bit of grapefruit sourness. Very refreshing.

Brewed by Brakspear in Henley, says the label. Bottle. Nut brown color, hazelnut aroma. Rather thin. Licorice flavor with some hops, especially in the aftertaste, and mango. Good beer, but too thin to make a real impression.

Cask. Badger Bar, Rydal. Light amber color. Light hoparoma. Firm hopbitter flavor. Herbal, mustard, grassy. Fairly thin and absolutely no rest sweetness. Long hopbitter finish. Nice session ale with loads of flavor, also fairly complex.
