Hazy dark amber color. Very nice malty aroma, a bit fruity. Also the taste is malty, quite round, caramel, and very well hopped. The aromatic hop leads all through the final. Excellent.

Dark brown beer with a light mocha head. Sweet roasted malt aroma with a bit of chocolate. Some sweet malt, roastiness and chocolate also in the flavor with a bit of caramel and ending with a bit of a metallic bite. Lighter bodied and easy drinking.

A hazy amber beer with a huge beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel - and so is the flavor pretty much too.

An orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with OK notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet yet slightly acidic - I think it is from the hops, since it is rather hoppy combined with some notes of caramel.

Bottle from Asda. Copper colour with thin white head. Amarillo citric hop aroma with cream in mouth and touch of vanilla, orange peel and then good distinctive hop finish. Good attempt at an APA without it getting too sweet or too over the top

500ml bottle from Tesco. nice golden colour. Yeasty citric nose with some good body and more yeastiness with hoppy finish. Touch of spicy grapefruit and bitter end. good

Bottle. Mmm... deep chocolatey smell, with a touch of mocha. Mysterious dark brown color, a light ring of foam. Very mellowed dark roasts, some scotch peated malts, and low astringency in the taste. Bitterness is a nondescript English hop profile that balances without getting in the way. Very pleasant indeed.

2005 bottle shared by Radiomgb at the Mondial Ratebeer tasting, 6/4/05. Golden copper, clear and lucid. White head recedes quickly to ring, with some lacing. Amarillo and manure in the nose, fruity yeast as well. Strong aroma from the amarillo hops, peaches, apples, oranges. . .Earthy, dusty yeast, some hay and plants. More fruit in the flavor, with the hops quite dominant. Retronasal has oranges and light leafy hops. Medium body, slightly oily mouthfeel, a bit resinous at times, with a low carbonation.

Cask at Reading Beer Festival. Black in colour, malty, coffee nose. Bit thin in mouth, but oily coating of the gums. Really good coffee malts on the aftertaste. Oily dry finish

Cask conditioned at the Lambton Worm (JDW), Sunderland. Golden colour, no head, little lacing. Moderate citrussy aroma. Light bodied. Pineapple and grapefruit in the flavour. Quite nice, but unfortunately a bit too sweet to be a definite favourite of mine.
