A dark amber ale with a thin off white head, and huge flocculation of solids. In aroma, pleasant floral hops, fruity, caramel. In mouth, a rather harsh hoppy IPA, piny and viscous, a bit over the top. Medium bodied. Tasted May 2007.

Thanks to boboski for opening this brew. Pours dark brown with minimal head. The aroma is light with sweetness, hints of alcohol and not much else. The flavor starts with light dark fruitiness that is exceedingly smooth. Then the sweetness hits with hints of molasses, sweet roasted malts and faint caramel. Then the taste turns more bitter and slightly tart with vague hoppiness and a bit of astringency. The alcohol shows up near the finish along with more caramelness.

Cask at GBBF 2007. A very cloudy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet grassy hoppy, while the flavor is sweet malty with strong ntoes of oranges and grapefruit - Cascade hops, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Very English in character. Sour aroma with sugar and yeast. A still beer, no carbonation. Flavor has sugar and interestingly, Stilton cheese and more cheese in the finish. Cloudy brown appearance. Unusual and good.

So sometimes, when you are sitting in a "beer" place and you are done eating, and the game on TV is on a commercial, and… well… you cannot just not rate. So I was at Bobbique’s a local beer-bbq place and I rated this beer on a piece of the one-time use paper table cloth and a purple crayon. Color is dark copper and completely lucid. A few stray carbonation bubbles gliding through the beer. Aroma is lightly resiny, light sweet-syrup hops and a burnt hop aspect at the end. Taste is tropical fruit hops with a lightly bitter leafy hops aftertaste. A very nice sweet-hop brew. On tap, mug.

Pours bright gold into a shaker. Bright white micro head subsides at a moderate pace to skim surface. Clean aromas. Crisp and full biscuit with a spicy middle that turns slightly sweet until the smooth resin hop finish.

Thanks to boboski for opening this brew from one of those cool looking flip top liter bottles. Pours a nice dark brown cup o’ coffee with off white head. Wow! This has an amazing initial mouth watering lip smackin’ aroma with roasty malts, rich molasses, brewing pre hoped wort percolating over the flame and caramel. In time the aroma did subside in intensity but was still very nice. The flavors were roasty to slightly burnt malts, rich molasses, caramel candy, nice chunk of pale maltiness. Then I get a chocolate maltiness and hints of coffee. Very nice.
