Bottle shared at De Molen tasting. Pours clear yellow golden with a small off white head. Aroma yeast, light perfume, citrus. Flavour is light sweet and bitter. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Not very exciting.

Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Hazy hay yellow liquid with medium white head. Aroma of perfume, mango, white pepper, grain, bread and apples. Taste is dry and light bitter with notes of white pepper and perfume. Light bodied with medium carbonation.

Bottle sample @ VBPF ’13. Étant habitué aux bières de chez JJ, cette version de Djan m’a franchement déçu. Premier abord est un bouquet plein de notes de pommes fermentées. Soit il y a erreur ou alors c’est le côté houblonné fleuri qui ressort. Le tout pouvant aussi provenir des esters de la levure. Palais garde ici aussi un côté pomme, sur des notes herbacées. Le tout cache en dessous un profile très belge, sur une fini herbacé, caramel carapils, pâle qui sont typiques pour ce style de bières blonde. Pas mauvaise, mais sans plus, et je n’arrive pas à passé au dessus de ce profil pomme.

Clear blond beer, no head, some bubbles, unstable, dissipating immediately, non adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, raspberry jam, almonds, green banana, sweet, bubble gum. MF: no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: bitter start, almonds, orange peel, green banana, unpleasant bitterness, metallic. Aftertaste: bitter, metallic, bit medicinal, orange peel, spicy bitter ending.

Refrigerated 75 cl bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small fluffy head which dissapates quickly. Little big bubble lacing, light body, medium/low carbonation, and really nice floral aroma. Taste is long dry crisp hops. I would call this a saison and I expected more.

75cl bottle (at the bargain price of £7) at the Sportsman, Hudds. It pours golden yellow with a bubbly white head. The nose is straw, hay, dough, spice, green apple, white grape and apricot. The taste is straw, earth, spice, moderate bitterness, dough, citrus fruits, apple, pear and vinous apect with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Elegent, well rounded and readily consumable.

On tap at Apex, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat upfront, light citrus and some rustic qualities. Flavour is full of wheat and rustic qualities, and light Belgian yeast. Very light and restrained on the palate and thirst-quenching. Great stuff.

4oz pour at Max’s Belgian Fest. Pours a clear amber with some light, white head. Nose is sweet, floral, lightly nutty, pear, apple. Flavor is sweet, nutty, malty, cracker, apple, honey. Finishes dry with a light roastiness.

Very hazy brown - amber beer, tidy off white head. Crispy semi dry palate. Mild carbonation. Minerals and a little weak citrus. Mild ginger spice. Insipid pale malt in the finish. It’s all a bit bland.
