Description
Beachwood Blendery is a small batch beer producer established in 2014 by the same creative minds behind the award winning Beachwood Brewing. Beachwood Blendery has embarked on an undoubtedly geeky quest to recreate the Lambic style beers of Belgium. Our beers are produced using ingredients, equipment, and brewing methods that are both steeped in tradition and admittedly modern.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fruity with moderately strong melon and plum notes. Some light citrus and pineapple notes. Light oak and faint phenolics. Pours a hazy, orange color with some reddish hues and a medium small, thin, white head that recedes to the edges and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor is moderately acidic with some lemon and citrus notes. Light sweetness with medium plum and melon notes; the melon becomes stronger in the finish while the plum is more prevalent upfront. Light saltiness. Faint phenolic and oak notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low, but present alcohol warmth. Overall, this is a bit of a weird beer and there is something in making me feel a bit itchy and warm in the face. The flavors while a bit odd are rather enjoyable. i like the combination of the plum and melon.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma is fairly fruity with lots of stone fruit, tropical fruit and some much lighter citrus notes - peaches, apricots and plums with mango, melon and lighter pineapple. Some light barnyard funk and hay notes with a light herbal phenolic note. Hint of a cheesy note and some light oak. Pours a somewhat hazy, golden color with a small, thin, white head that recedes quickly and disappears. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a medium light acidity with faint citrus notes. Some faint grain and wheat notes as well. Light oak notes and very low bitterness. Less fruity than in the aroma but still quite a bit of stone fruit with some light mango and melon. The herbal phenolic note is a bit stronger and the hay and barnyard funk are light. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with low carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice American sour with some lambic qualities, but it still isn’t there. For a lambic its too fruity and is missing that earthy not that makes lambic lambic; it has hints of it, but it isn’t dominating. I like the low carbonation though and find this very drinkable.

Bottle thanks to Jeremy! Pours clear pale golden, large white head that dissipates pretty slowly and laces well. Aroma is dusty, Brett forward, hint of lemon, basement. Flavor is dry, very light tart, medium clean Brett funk. Light body, soft carbonation. Pleasant and enjoyable.

750 c&c from Cap Tap. Pours light gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of light Brett and light citrus/pine. Earthy. Med body or so. Flavor is earthy Brett and something like citrus/pine as the Brett flows away. Finish is basically earthy Brett with a very little citrus floating around. There is something like a mild hop burn, but I guess the Brett is obscuring the hop. Tasty stuff tho!

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Padraig, Hazy gold beer, thin pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Tart fruits, Some of that bitter nut thing that sometimes creeps in to sours. Mild lemon. Dry finish. Doing nothing for me at all.
