Description
Beachwood Blendery is a small batch beer producer established in 2014 by the same creative minds behind the award winning Beachwood Brewing. Beachwood Blendery has embarked on an undoubtedly geeky quest to recreate the Lambic style beers of Belgium. Our beers are produced using ingredients, equipment, and brewing methods that are both steeped in tradition and admittedly modern.

Slight haze, pale, thin head. Light toastiness, good brett, solid malt base, oaky and light apple…not getting the chamomile though. Had at Silver Stamp, which for some reason isn't listed on this site.

From tap at Loyal Legion, Portland. Aroma is sour fruits with citrus, fruity hops, tropical notes, barnyard funk, peach, light malt. Flavour is nicely sour with a little hoppy bitterness in the finish. Body is medium. Very refreshing and sour fruity hoppy Lambic-ish beer, with some funky complexity. I would love to try the other beers in this series.

Bottle that I picked up from Beer Republic webshop Berkel-Enschot Netherlands, had this in the company of Jonas, Ursula and Marko Saturday 8th February 2025 at home, Manglham we had Lasagna later and listening to The Levellers - Levelling the Land. Loz has made three different types of bread and a Gooseberry Crumble Cake. Pours hazy mid gold without much of a head. Wow this is super zappy and tart, very acidic and funky and I guess grapey but it's almost a bit too much, it could do with the edges being softened a little and more approachable. There is no denying they've totally understood the style but it's just a bit hardcore and not completely my thing.

Bottled, huge thanks Fin for sharing! Hazy golden body, Woody, tart, citric aroma, light saliva, sweetish. Lean, dry, tart taste combining very pleasant white grape notes with a fair bit of wood. Juicy, yet minerally, dry and lightly tannic, astringent, with some mild funk in the aroma. BIt aggro, but tasty enough!

On tap at Theodore, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma is rather muted on the fruit, with light metallic notes, wild bugs, and tart citrus. Flavour is quite bitter, with plenty of bitter orange peel, intense citrusy passionfruit, and a hint of guava. Not a huge funk character, but the wild yeast does show itself. Not remotely convincing as a lambic, but as an oddball mixed ferm ale, this is pretty good.
