Tap at Goblet ZG. 2021 version. Bretty, bit oaky aroma, mild funk, but dominant, quite pleasant, minerally. Lean, juicy taste, Brett in evidence, softly herbal-minerally, lean, dry, grape pits, just a tasty, highly drinkable, clean wild beer. Not memorable, but props nonetheless!

Sampled from the tap at Silver Stamp. Pours a clear light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of oak and chamomile with some tart apple, lemon and a touch of sweetness underlying. Flavor has chamomile, tart apple, some lemon and an oaky backbone.

2020 summer blended bottle from Khoury's off the strip. Stemless back at my hotel room. Hazy grapefruit/sunset cocktail pour with just a bit of activity. Sour, acidic nose with bold floral & just a twinge of blueberry skin. Juicy at first, floral, quickly turning twangy sour raspberry, followed by lingering earthy blueberry & white wine acidity. Lime. A bit of barrel. A bit of acetone. Less of that crazy astringency as it warms. Heavier than anticipated. Prickly carbonation. Sulfites. Liked.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Barrel Bash (Big Wood) 2023, pours a clear dark amber / mahogany with a medium faded pink head. Aroma is full of gently tart elderberries, black pepper, and a hint of funk. Flavour is full of black pepper, with tart berries, moderate acidity, and plenty of funk. Not too acidic, but also not lambic-like. Good fruit funky beer. Very good.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle. Aroma has medium light lemon notes with lighter floral esters and hints of stone fruit and yogurt. Light grain notes and hints of rice and alcohol. Faint oak notes. Pours a very clear, brilliant, yellow-gold with a large, thick, frothy, white head that recedes fairly quickly to a small film that lingers for a bit in the edges. Flavor is moderately acidic with hints of grain and rice. Very low bitterness and hints of alcohol. Medium light lemon zip with hints of yogurt and stone fruit. Faint floral esters. Mouthfeel is light bodied and crisp with medium high carbonation. Faint astringency and faint alcohol warmth. Overall, this is a wonderful Berliner. So bright and citrusy with a light, crisp body. Good fermentation characteristics with balanced acidity and esters.
