Bottle. Pours a hazy amber orange with a tan head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of pine and bitter potpourri backed by an earthy grain. Flavor more of a grass and pine combination up front with some potpourri and a light grain backing.

22oz bomber pours with a hazy amber copper body that supports a nearly wispy tan head of foam. The aroma offers up earthy lime and grapefruit, spicy hops and a good bit of earthy black tea that has a pinch of lime zest. The taste starts with some thick malts that get directly into resiny pine and resiny citrus and spicy hops. The resiny hoppy bite (chomp) allows thin layers of hop flavor to show up from time to time such as citrus and a pleasing earthy tea note. This might be one of my favorites of this Series as it is big and resiny with one of my favorite hops.

750mL bottle pours with a muddy amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up all boozy sweet whiskey and such and then running headlong into boozy fairly rough heat. Well beneath the booze notes are light whiffs of malts and maybe molasses. The taste is similar with smooth sweet boozy whiskey smoothened and sweetened by a modest level of sweet malts and molasses notes. This is rich and malty and with some toffee and molasses coming to the surface here and there. There’s still a good deal of whiskey from front to back and I guess it is a good thing it is so smooth. A little less barrel time would be nice to try.
