Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber. Film of sticky, white head. Fusty stuff, this. Mandarin. Peach stone. There’s some plum type fruit to it. Some pine. Sweet, grainy malts at the back. Taste is full on, piny bitter. Palate is oily, and carbonation is soft. Finishesostly big, long bitter, with a little sweetness on the lips. Slightly weird Toilet Duck thing going on, but I didn’t mind this.

Dark Brownish Amber, Gushing Out Of A Bottle and Ten You Are Able To Pour It, Settles For A Head That Is Slightly Above Average. It Does Not Last And Diminishes to A Thin Ring Leaving Light Spotty Lacing. Muted Strange Hop Aroma. Tastes A Lot Better. Sweet Malt, Grapefruit, Resin, Pine Hop. Lasting and Pleasant Bitter Hop Aftertaste. Medium Body, Oily. Hides High ABV Well. Enjoyed It. Nice. Recommended...

Bottle 12fl.oz. [ As Hermitage Hoptopia ].Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, pine, grass, orange - citrus, light spruce. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry, hoppy, caramel, pine, fruity hops. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20140517]

Bottle. Deep golden colour with an off-white head. Aroma is hop, alcohol, pine, caramel. Flavour is hop, alcohol, pine, grapefruit, caramel, citrus, orange. Full body. OK beer.

Sample at Tied House. Clear orange color with a medium thin white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Tropical fruit, hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrus, melons, hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at Tied House. Dark brown color with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily to a wispy film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, citrus and hops. Medium body with flavors of pithy citrus, roast malt and slight citrus. The finish is roasty with a citrus and malt aftertaste. Kind of a Black IPA, and a decent one.

Sample at Tied House. Pours an opaque brown-black color with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and piney hops. The finish is roasty with a mocha aftertaste. Decent overall.
