500 ml. from the Natomas BevMo. Pours a dark ruddy amber with a 4 finger foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Flavor is dark roast carmel with yeast/spice and some fruitiness. Touches of bubblegum and banana. It’s in the right style category, but it comes out more roast malt and less spice/fruit than I’d expect. Drinks all right. Finishes with a herby bitterness to offset the malt.

Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours amber with a 4 finger foamy yellow/white head. Aroma is very grapefruit/citrus (sniffing the bottle - can’t get much from the huge head). Medium body with smooth mild carbonation. The flavor is grapefruit rind over light roast malt, but there’s a lot of florality. A lot. This stuff is very hoppy, but it’s not at all harsh. Let’s call this a UK Imperial ESB. It’s that good. Might kill the average Brit though. Oops. Brits are sturdy. Might kill the average Anglo/Franco/Saxon. Anybody take umbridge at that?
