Bottle. Pours with a lightly hazed penny colored body with a head that fades quickly. Aromas of caramel, biscuits and raspberries. Light mint. Light vinous notes. Flavors are kind of nasty. A bit of a burn in the back of the throat. Rotten garbage. Caramel, some acidity, some red grapes. Short duration. Sourness seems to be all lactobacillus. Some appricot. Light carbonation. Not horrendous but not worth the calories.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of wavers1. Pours a pitch black with a rough light brown head. Hard roast nose with juicy dark dried fruits. Solid body, hard roast malts, ashy and a little smoky, again some dark fruits. A little malt astringency. 230211

Aroma of ketchup and smoke bbq sauce. Nice orange color with white head that dissipates quickly. Taste of very sweet malt, and ketchup follows through with the sweet smoke. Not balanced.

Hazy orange/copper coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, some honey and a lot of bright hops. Medium to Full-bodied; Bright grapefruit and citrus hop flavours show up first with a lingering sweetness and a little perfumey and floral hoppiness. Aftertaste shows a decent amount of alcohol, some bright hops and some fresh fruit as well. Overall, an okay Imperial IPA - not great, but not horrible either. More of a sweet and tad heavier IPA, but not nearly enough hops to compensate for everything else. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from BevMo in San Diego (Rosencrans), California on 08-February-2011 sampled in New Paltz, New York on 20-February-2011.

Bomber from BevMo Salinas. Nose is light pine, slight floral, and a fair amount of caramel malt. Very lightly hazy orange with a small pale yellow head. Flavor is lightly bitter with slight sweetness, and caramel. Finishes moderately bitter, more than the first taste.

Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours ruddy copper with a foamy beige/tan head. Rather odd smell - kind of sour, kind of milk? Med body. Flavor is arguably tart, but it’s quite fruity. I think diacetyl is in the mix. Took that aroma for milk. Odd drink. Sour. Diacetyl. Caramel. Tartish fruits. Not saying it’s a great beer. But, had it not been rushed, perhaps it might have been. I’ll wager this could be tweaked into something very good. But for now, I suspect haste made waste. As is, it’s still head and shoulders above many pale lagery things.

500 ml bottle from BevMo Salinas. Nose is grapefruit, a little pine, and caramel mixed with a little sweetness. Lightly hazy amber with a medium, lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is very bitter with lots of pine and it finishes with a longlasting bitterness. Excellent!
