Pours an amber-gold, with small head. Floral, citrus aroma, with some breadiness. Flavor is very fruity--citrus and bitter, pine hops. There’s a bitter, malty-bready finish.

Pours a dark, reddish-amber, with good sized head. Aroma is very floral, with some bready aromas. Flavor is fruity-citrus, with some pepper, bitter hops, some malt sweetness. Bitter finish. Resinous and full mouthfeel. Very good IPA.

Pour is a brown with a small white head. Aroma is sweet caramel mixed with dark fruit. Flavor is again caramel with some butterscotch and raisin. Finish leaves an almost dark cherry on the tongue. Alcohol is not noticeable. This was a decent malt heavy beer.

Pour is a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is pine hops and not much else. Flavor is the same. Dank hops with a thin malt to back things up. A respectable IPA not a double IPA.

Bottle. Amber body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of earthy hops, caramel, toasted grain, grapefruit, pine. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Big hop flavor from raw leafy hops, pine. Long, lingering bitterness. Thick malts in the backbone. Not a favorite.

Bottle. Amber body. Off-white head. Aroma of raw, leafy hops, lemon, orange, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation. Expected this to be brighter since it features citra. Hints of citrus, lemon, orange, but a bit muddled with caramel flavor from the malts that are also a little grainy.

22oz bomber pours with a clear copper body that supports a tan head of foam that leaves behind spotty lacing. The modest aroma is briefly citrusy before it turns more malts and a sliver of hop resin. The taste gets to the resiny side pretty quickly with layers of citrus hops and then grassiness surfacing a moment later. Behind the hops are notes of maltiness. The more I drink this the more resiny and pine sap like it seems to get with only narrow streams of grapefruit and peach skin. Pretty nice but I think the malt base gets in the way a bit.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Earth and citrus aroma with pine. Earth and spice flavor with citrus and pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Spice and earth lingers with pine and grapefruit.

Found at Kenwood Homer Glen with a $3.50 Sale tag. Okay, why not. Slight bit of skunk right under the cap, changing to a hoppy smell as foam peeks over the edge. Kicks up a lot of foam, even refrigerated. Smell is mostly citrusy with some pine, maybe a tropical fruit kick of Nelson Sauvin. Still plenty of foam in my IPA tulip. Looks cloudy and orangey under that big head, which settles down into some kind of fire extinguisher foam. Taste is back to strong malt and citrus, with a backbone of mucho hop bitterness. Kind of nice in a hophead sense, but way overly bitter. I feel like there’s no reward for finishing this.

22oz bomber pours with a clear deep copper body that supports an inch tall tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up sweet malts that have a red apple note mixing with brown sugar and sweet white grape juice. Interesting. The taste has some nice yet modest flavor hops that quickly move into more and more hop bitterness. The hops come across as a rather vague flavor that’s sort of citrus sort of pine resin sort of earthy. It also gets into a cherry hard candy note as well as mild red apple sweet esters. Again, interesting. None of this really goes together too well either.
