A low off-white head on a caramel/amber body. The nose features caramel malt, berries, cherry and a slight metallic edge. A big, slick barleywine. Rich caramel and toffee, solid citrus hops, touches of spice and berries, and sweet figs and dates. A dense rich body with a slightly slick mouth feel.

(Can) Pours black with good dense tan head. Nice aroma of caramel. Great mouthfeel. Full bodied, smooth, a little creamy with fine carbonation. Great taste too. There’s a good caramel sweetness and a steadily growing dark toffee / burnt sugar bitterness, along with more subtle salty notes. There’s some creaminess in the mid palate. Very nice.

Lightly hazy, golden coloured with a frothy white cap, good stay and leaves soapy lacing. Orangy aromas with some clementine fruitiness and hints of yeast. The taste shows some citrus notes over the caramel malt base. Might be getting some diacetyl in the nose after breathing. Thankfully the lightly bitter hops, grassiness comes out to take over and help this one. Orange zest and mild juices are left on the tongue. Not bad, but not close to my favourite West coast, especially not being piney.

Can that pours a dark brown colour with some copper-ruby highlights. The head is big, frothy beige, somewhat creamy leaving some thick lacing. Roasted and caramel malt base with some salty butterscotch notes. The mouthfeel is silky, lightly oily with some decent building dryness in the end. Starts off lightly sweet with the caramel, but the hops do cut this quickly, building up some nice bitterness. Burnt barley is left on the tongue with a tad tart and grassy hop lingering. Could have a little more saltiness to balance the hoppiness. The rest is nice.

Aromas of chocolate malts base with some mild sour cherry notes balanced in here. Dark brown colour with some copper-ruby highlights. A big frothy light mocha-coloured head, very nice retention and leaving some sticky, light-foamy lacing. The taste shows cherry essences flavours, but the hops do come in quickly to kill the over sweetness. A dry finish ensues. Some bitterness lingers on the tongue. Hints of burnt malts appear in the background. Not for those who like sweet dessert stouts, as the dry-bitter feel is more intense in this one, unlike macro versions of this style. Goes down nicely.

Au nez, agrumes et alcool avec notes de pamplemousse. Liquide doré, flou, assez effervescent avec une mousse épaisse et bien dense. En bouche, c'est fruité avec des notes de mandarines et d'agrumes, mais surtout bien amère avec des notes de conifères à profusion. Le coté malté est présent, mais en deçà de mes espérances. La corpulence est moyenne, la texture bien douce et la carbonatation un peu faible pour le style. Agrumes et amertume en sont les caractéristiques principales mais j'aurais préféré un coté malté plus souligné. O:7.0 V:4.25 G:6.25 C:4.4 G:15.25 T:37.15

Olfactif au malt bien prononcé avec accents de pain et de céréales. Houblons herbacés également perçus. De couleur doré clair, tout à fait limpide, une effervescence volcanique, une bonne mousse épaisse qui se maintient relativement bien en sont les caractéristiques du visuel. En bouche, les céréales dominent largement avec ce qui ressemble à du bon pain frais. On y décèle également une légère amertume herbacée. Le corps est mince mais moins que l’on s’y attendrait. La texture est légèrement charnue, subtilement veloutée. La carbonatation active mais moins que l’on pourrait s’attendre pour ce type de bière. Même si les saveurs sont amorties par le faible taux d’alcool elles ressortent suffisamment pour me faire amplement apprécier cette nano Lager. O:6.936 V:3.621 G:6.368 C:3.925 G:14.45 T:35.3

Draft: Poured a hazy light reddish color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light tart notes and pomegranates is quite nice. Taste is a refreshing mix of pomegranates and tart notes with a clean finish. Body is pretty full with a good level of carbonation. Refreshing fruited gose.

A hazed pinkish grapefruit juice like gose with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light pomegranate, light acidity and mineral notes. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with pomegranate, tart mix, pleasant. On tap at l'autre oeil.
