End of the keg at Gremlin. Hazy copper with a bunch of soapy foam. Big pine and resiny aromas. Bitter on the palate with a lot of pine. Dry and bitter finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Centennial IPA on 24 Oct 2016 at 01:32 - Score: 6. Original review text: End of the keg, not doing it for me. Piney and abrasive....

2016 vintage I assume. Hazy deep copper with a little beige foam on top. Very fruit forward nose with apple and pear dominating. Some light cinnamon notes as well. Light hoppy, bitterness and sweet honey like notes on the palate. Feels a tad heavy but thats OK I guess. Light bitterness on the finish with some grassy notes. A little green I think.

This should be 2016 vintage, had it on tap at Gremlin. pours nice amber, bit of haze, and a few bubbles on top. Aroma is sweetish, with some green apple notes and strong malt backbone. tastes similar, creamy with some bitter hop edges, feels somewhat green overall. Probably this one is just too fresh and needs some more ageing. Perfect if they did that ageing in barrels but maybe even just letting this stay for a bit would benefit the experience.

Keyaki fall 2016. Faint blueberry notes with some light lemon. Sweet on the palate with a bit of candied blueberry character. A little syrupy but a little tartness on the finish. Not really digging this one. --- Beer merged from original tick of Blueberry Sour Ale on 18 Sep 2016 at 16:01 - Score: 6

Keyaki fall 2016. Lovely light peated nose with some smoked raisin and nuts and some light cacao nibs. The peat comes out more on the palate, but doesn’t bumrush the other flavors. Roasty finish. Nice enough, light and enjoyable. --- Beer merged from original tick of Peated Porter on 18 Sep 2016 at 15:41 - Score: 7

Keyaki fall 2016. Apple and pear all over the nose with some malt character. Sweet on the palate with lots of fall fruit. Not cloying, but the body feels a little too light, or not enough carbonation. Seems like they were going for a Duvel clone. Alcohol hidden well, but missing something. --- Beer merged from original tick of Yukari Golden Strong on 18 Sep 2016 at 16:00 - Score: 6

Keyaki fall 2016. Light malt and bready aromas. Some apricot as it warms. Crisp and clean. Light bitterness on the finish. Nothing much to see here, but it’s not a bad beer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sakura Steam (佐倉スチーム) on 18 Sep 2016 at 15:56 - Score: 6

Tap at Gremlin. Meyer lemon and mineral notes on the nose with a bit of grainy wheat. Fine, active carbonation on the palate, very refreshing with big tartness for the 3% abv. Gooseberry, sudachi, lemon and wheatberry on the palate with some salty mineral water notes. Really a great, refreshing Berliner Weisse that is perfect for the brutal Tokyo summer. One to Loco for sure! --- Beer merged from original tick of Yukariner Weisse on 05 Aug 2016 at 19:21 - Score: 8. Original review text: Great Berliner Weisse. High carbonation, Meyer lemon and mineral on the nose. Gooseberry, tart wheat, sudachi and salt. Great...and only 3%!

Handpump at Gremlin. Very interesting beast here. Charcoal black color with no head. Very faint aromas of mint and arugula on the nose, with some very faint chocolate as it warms. Full on chrysanthemum notes on the palate, very green, with some light chocolate and coffee notes on the palate. Soft carbonation and mouthfeel. Almost silky, light bodied for 6 percent abv and easy drinking. A nice summer beer. Aha! Sorachi Ace is my guess! Not really like any other Black IPA I’ve ever had really. --- Beer merged from original tick of InBA (India Black Ale) (印旛) on 29 Jul 2016 at 20:17 - Score: 7. Original review text: Green, shungiku....chocolate mint. Light. Very interesting take on a black ipa.
