6% 10oz glass on tap at Bungalow. Nice deep copper pour with an off-white head. Floral hop bouquet with citrus notes over a malty base. Smooth creamy mouthfeel on a med-light body. The taste is really unique, pineapple, coconut like a piña colada! Totally unexpected! Almost cocktail like, interesting as all hell. A bit of piney bitterness in the somewhat dry finish. The bitterness appears to be cumative with that ascerbic finish slowly growing over the course of the beer. As it warms up more citrus, dandelion notes come up but that pineapple/coconut remains in the wings. Pretty unique, definitely worth a try.

Tap at Molto. Deep amber-orange with a low head. Lemony nose, grassy and original though not clearly what I usually get with Sorachi Ace. The flavor is, though. Lemon, wood, vanilla. Not overdone, though, which is easy to do with this hop. Pretty good use of it. The server said the nose was much more powerful when they tapped it a few days earlier. That might be why other raters so far have been much more impressed with this than I have. Good, though.

very heady, a moderately aggressively hopped. Nice back bone but a bit light body for the style, would work better at 7%. Tastes like you are sucking on weed.

Tap at Bungalow. Dark brown with red tints. Pretty. Deep malty chocolate nose, raisins and plums, caramel. Rich malty flavor, lots of dried fruits. Thick and full without being heavy. Well done.

Tap at 1020. Clear, bright golden color. Low and fine head. Nose of lemon grass, a bit of lemon balm, biscuit malts. Clean lemony herb flavor, citrus hops, it seems, too. Nice herbal character that doesn’t go overboard at all. Refreshing and summery. Wrong season, but a good beer.

Tap at Marciero. Deep orange, cloudy, with a thin, low head. Nice spicy hops, citrus, light tropical fruits. Spicy, fruity flavor, citrus and tropical fruits and a bit estery as well. Peppery finish. Great hop flavor. Full body. Very nice.

5%, 20 IBUs, on tap at Mokichi Craft beer in Fujisawa. A clear straw gold with a filmy head. The nose is lemon, they nailed that lemongrass scent. The taste is lemon but kind of too lemony - it gives me a lemon dish soap or cleaner vibe. Nice medium to full body, a little bit of a biscuity/graham quality in the finish. Pretty good but I’d like more malts to cut back that lemon taste a smidge so as to prevent people from thinking of Pledge. Good though.

6%, 45 IBUs, on tap at Mokichi Craft beer in Fujisawa. A great orange gold color with an off-white head. The nose is a fruity, tropical, pine & citrus bouquet. The body is med-full with the taste is quite bitter astringent pine with some citrus in the finish. A solid IPA.

6% 20 IBUs, on tap at Mokichi Craft beer in Fujisawa. Taster 330 yen. A nice amber pour, light off-white head. Grainy, slightly spicy rye nose. The body is full, creamy & smooth while the taste is malty sweet with a bit of a spicy bite from the rye. Great stuff, a truly good lager that’s way more flavorful than your regular lager. Good stuff.

Tap at 1020. Dark brown with red, and a low, fine head. Nicely spicy rye nose, caramel. Lovely solid rye flavor, big and spicy, bready, rich chocolate, some caramel, very solid rye character and good bitter finish.
