Bottle from ASDA online. Chemical pear aroma with added saccharine. Pale gold. A steady rise of bubbles. White head just clings to the inside rim. Light-medium sweet which then develops sourness. Reminds me of sour jelly sweets. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Dry finish. The palate's probably the best thing about it. Mass produced factory Perry.

20cl bottle. Chilled. Very pale yellow colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of pear with a hint of sulphur. Taste is pear, sugary, sweet, fruity, melon-like and white wine. Thin mouthfeel, light bodied, spritzy carbonation, dry and residual sweet at the finish. OK.

Bottle shared at Leightons place 21/03/2016. Thanks to Paul for this one? Very pale petrol coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is tangy apple and fruity pears, some alcohol, cheap. Flavour is composed of harsh tangy, dry apple, harsh solvent, alcohol. Palate is dry and pithy, highish carbonation. Too harsh.

Wee diddy bottle thanks to Paulo, at Cloud City, 21/03/16. Almost translucent yellow with a good white covering that soon dissipates. Nose is sweet orchard, straw, hint of puss. Taste comprises sweet pear jus, sugary, light apple, icing sugar. Light body, touch prickly carbonation, semi drying close. No offence caused here !

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours clear, pale yellow, effervescent. The nose has artificial pear, little else. Medium sweet flavor, sugary, some ripe pear, white sugar. Light bodied with soritzy carbonation. Sugary finish, more fake pear. Meh, ho hum.

Mini 20cl bottle shared at Leighton’s. It pours clear very pale greenish gold with a fizzy white head. The aroma is earthy, sweet, pear skin, floral and dull must. The taste is sweet, sugary, candy, oily, fruit juicy from concentrate, pear cordiality a short, sweet finish. Light - medium body, fizzy carbonation and slightly sticky mouth - feel. Not a whole lot going on. Sweet and simple, but not horrific.

Bottle from Costcutters, consumed at home. Light yellow, not as ’sparkling’ as I thought. Very little aroma, gummy bears and plastic. Taste is sickly and weak but not altogether unpleasant. Body is thin and surprisingly flat. Not offensive but not a great perry. Well of course it isn’t.
