On draught at Simmzy’s. Pours a clear golden color with a medium bright white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Citrus, hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a grapefruit and hops aftertaste. May have suffered a bit from trying right after Pliny but still a solid IPA.

Aroma is predominantly pine and resin. Slight citrus and lemon. Orange and clear with a full white head that retains well. Juicy and resiny pine flavor with a moderate amount of bitterness. Doughy malt adds significant support to the hops.

[2/13/15] Bottle sample at Almanac & Friends Sourfest at Public House in San Francisco. Cloudy yellow. Lovely aroma, lactic, with apricots and some funk. Sour flavor, lemony, puckering, lactic, with apricots. Leaves the mouth dry. Light to medium-bodied. Great and refreshing.

[2/12/15] Draught at The Sycamore in San Francisco. 2014 edition. Black with a brown head. Big aroma of chocolate, bourbon and vanilla. Sweet flavor of chocolate and bourbon, a bit boozy. Full thick-bodied. Great stuff.
