About
Hangar 24 began its craft brewing exploration with a true passion for good beer, the absolute love of flying and the pure enjoyment of being around great friends. My buddies and I used to meet at hangar No. 24 at the Redlands Municipal Airport, after an afternoon of flying, to trade stories, talk aviation, play music and share a few cold ones that were recently home brewed. These days, the location of where the beers are brewed has changed, but the quality time spent enjoying a delicious, handcrafted beer and conversation with friends is the same as ever. I personally want to invite you to join the adventure. Cheers! Ben Cook.

Bottle. Pours clear ruby black with a small tan head that dissipates quickly with some lacing. Aroma is roasty, ashtray, cocoa. Flavor is much the same, medium sweet with a definite milk-chocolate overtone touch of vanilla, light bitterness, not enough to counteract the sweetness fully. A bit artificial tasting, actually. Medium body. Definitely drinkable, but nothing special here.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - thanks to Colin. Pours lightly hazy, yellow-gold with a foamy white head. Well and juicy citrus in the nose, lots of orange, tangerine, pine needles. Medium sweet flavor with a bit of alcohol kick, oily hops, more orange and tangerine, melon, grapefruit. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish with good hop resins, mild bitter lemon rind, more tangerine, alcohol, grapefruit. Very decent if a bit punchy.

Had this at the RB Pgh Halloween Spook-tacular Tasting/Drunkfest fall 2013, nice time at Hornydevil’s place, thanks James & Michelle! Big thanks to beerman6686, he is the guy to trade with. Smell is alarmingly volatile. Don’t dare lite a match, you know what I mean? Not as thik as I was expecting it to be. Aroma is old but that could be the beer before. Taste is kick the ass. nok your head back. just the most alky flavors. Way over the top and down the sides, wew. probably should be sold ina PALCB state store, heheh. I’m getting dizzy, wew. woot, heheheh. Look, I appreciate Dan bringing this but it ceratinly is not beer, its a whisky or strong winey thing.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a creamy off-white head. Mixed fresh citrus came as the cap left, and the pour smells of light caramel and lots of citrusy zest. Med body or better. It starts with instant hop burn, shows a little caramel, does citrus then moves on to zest and mixed citrus fruit. Finishes dry and bitter. And citrus. Wow.
