Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Massive peated whiskey aroma with ash, smoke, chalk, roasted malt, peat, iodine, some dark chocolate and alcohol. Flavour is fairly bitter which leaves room for only a little sweetness. Body is above medium. Not the most velvety BA Imperial Stout, very heavy on the peat and ash, a bit harsh, in your face brew.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is heavy on the wood with dried fruits, plenty of sherry, caramel, raisins, and red fruits. Flavour is moderate sweet with a little alcohol. Body is medium. Barrel notes are strong with oak and sherry dominating the beer, good stuff.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is strong and a bit sharp whiskey with peat, alcohol, dark malt, chocolate, and notes of smoke. Mild sweet flavour, some roasty bitterness, and a bit of a boozy sting. Body is medium. Peaty with big barrel influence, good but not the most balanced smoothness.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is heavy on the cognac with dried fruits, plenty of wood, red grapes, dark malt, caramel, more oak. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness. Touch of alcohol. Body is medium. The cognac barrel comes out nicely here.

Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma is vinous with grapes, oak, malt, ripe fruits, white wine. More wood. Flavour is sweeter than I expected with some vinous tartness. Body is above medium. Nice wine barrel influence, but quite a bit sweeter than I like my BA Saison.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is dark malt, ripe banana, rum, caramel, toffee, raisins, dried fruits, touch of chocolate, molasses, sugary notes, a little roast. Flavour is medium sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium to full. Very complex, has a lot going on. Great, my favourite Bronckhorster up to this point.

Can at Proeflokaal Mout, Groningen. Not what I expected. Sweetish floral and fruity aroma with bubblegum, canned peach, berries. Flavour is sweetish with a mild bitterness. Medium body. Hmmm okay brew, but not much of a NEIPA.
