Can pour from Valley Beverage. It's an opaque black with finger-width light brown head with poor retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong roasted earthy malts, toffee, mild vanilla. A hint of wet dog. Taste is roasted earthy malt, toffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. A decent, non-adjuncted stout.

Capped 500 from The Davis Food Co-op. Pours clear dark copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma of caramel, treacle and butterscotch. And heat! Full bodied; creamy texture. Flavor is butterscotch, treacle, caramel and heat. It is not dry. It is not bitter. It is very, very warming. Malt was not spared in creating this tasty brew.

5 oz glass (part of a Flight) in The BrewHouse, San Juan Capistrano on 3rd Jan 2020. Black bodied, tanned foaming head. Strong Coffee esters in the nose, taste also very much on the Coffee side. Seemed more alcoholic than the 5.3% ABV advertised, smooth and rich throughout.
