Handpull cask at Broood, Leicester. Golden, just a bit hazy, with a film of white head. Candied orange in the aroma with lemon, some pine and a touch of elderflower. An initial bittersweet taste gives way to an intense, almost sourish bitterness. I get a touch of the sweet/savoury rhubarb, but it's mostly orange on the finish. Naked hop oils in the aftertaste. Good enough.

Gravity cask at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Dark gold and a bit hazy with almost no head. Apricot, banana bread, ammonia in the aroma. Bitter hoppy taste with a dryness throughout but especially tenacious in the finish. Satsuma peel, more apricot and Horlicks powder in the aftertaste. Oily body, pretty flat. This is delicious.
