Description
The brewery was founded in May 2007 under the name Quercus Devon Ales in Churchstow, Devon. In 2011 new owners took over the brewery till 2016.

In September 2016 the business was purchased by a consortium led by city insurance specialist John Tiner and his wife Geraldine. They changed its name to the current one. In 2017 the brewery moved to the current location.

Salcombe Brewery Co. has stunning views towards the Salcombe Ria. The innovative new brewery is a unique concept situated above a decommissioned water reservoir, utilising the natural ambient temperature of the underground facility, making the brewery as energy efficient as possible. Together with the surrounding nature and views towards Salcombe, it’s a great place for local and visiting customers to enjoy.

Tap at the Marine, Sidmouth. Poured a crystal clear golden straw colour with a short-lived, frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is malt, light cardboard yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Not bad for the ABV and for a lager it had a little flavour.

500ml bottle from a Morrison's in Devon: BBE June 2022. Drank at home on 25th September (after driving to Maidenhead and back to watch Grimsby draw 1-1). It's Devon Amber in colour, clean and clear, white head. Decent enough blend with a malty flavour with a hop bitterness in it's make up.
