Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 29/10/2014. Dark brown with a slight, off-white head. This beer packed some serious chilli heat, which burned the lips and left a very long after-taste, dominating the oaty sweetness. Too extreme.

Cask half-pint in St Aldates Tavern, Oxford on 18th Oct 2014 after an afternoon session across the road at the CAMRA Oxford beer festival. Pale yellow to golden body, with a weak white head. Malty yet citrus feel to the nose, the taste also a citrus and light malt blend. Not unpleasant but not a lot of flavour or things happening to excite the senses.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tobacco Factory, Bristol 26/9/2014. Medium brown with a thin, off-white, head. Big, boozy aroma of brown sugar and berry fruits. Flavour was sweet, with some dense malts, more fruit and caramel, leading to a warming finish. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Victoria, Clifton Lido, Bristol 10/9/2014. Dark brown with a frothy, off-white, head. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate and some leafy hops. Flavour was also sweet, with more chocolate, a touch of caramel and then a toasty finish. Very good.

Cask at the Euston Tap, 03/08/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is bready malts, orange, straw. Taste comprises floral notes, lemon rind, melon, hint of bread dough, trace of minerals. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, grassy bitter linger. Ok but not an APA for me, just lacks any real hop presence, a stronger golden blonde.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Amber with a small smooth head with orange notes in both aroma and taste which is more stated in its nose.

Cask-conditioned at the Green Man, Bristol, 30/5/2014. Deep amber with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish, earthy malts, some citrus fruits, a touch of spice leading to a decent, bitter finish. Good.
