Bottle, thanks to Erwin. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Hoppy and malty at the same time. Taste: Malty base, bread, grassy hopbitterness Nice dry-ish green hopbitter finish. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Moderate to over moderate sweet and bitter. Nice typical English Ale.

Cask at Greyhound, Stafford. Pours a golden amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Only a weak aroma – hints of floral hops and oranges. In the mouth it starts off briefly sweet with hints of corn and butter, but quickly the bitterness of floral and traditional hops comes to the fore and gradually increases to dominate. Flavour has marmalade and ginger as well plus hints of cloves and nutmeg leading to a dry and bitter finish. This is rather nice – a good old fashioned IPA.

Bottle courtesy of Mum & Keith, had this at Mum's Wednesday 3rd April 2024. Pours gold, good clarity, white head, there is a nice little buzz, sweetness and dry. Pretty decent but the Worcestershire Way that I just had was much better.

Cask at Greyhound, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with minimal white head and good lacing. There’s malts and biscuits in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet and zesty with citrus and tropical fruits plus some underlying malts. A little bitterness creeps in later. It’s reasonable.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - cheers Graham!]. Opalescent, orange golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Floral hoppy and pale malty aroma, hints of petals. Taste is mildly bitter, floral hoppy and minimally sweet, pale malty with a strawy touch, minimally diluted hints of petals. Minimally oily, watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation. Very light, refreshing - OK.

Slightly floral and fruity, minimally grassy, hoppy aroma, minimally spicy, pale malty background, a touch of orchard fruit. Taste is mildly bitter, slightly floral and minimally fruity hoppy, pale malty basis, a mineral touch. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Light, refreshing, thirst quenching - OK.

Floral, minimally leafy and minimally fruity, hoppy as well as minimally toasty, malty aroma, hints of petals, whiffs of orchard fruit. Taste is minimally toasty malty, mildly bitter, slightly floral and minimally fruity hoppy, hints of petals, orchard fruit, a touch of peach, peach ice tea. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Light and drinkable, a bit cautious - OK.
