Cask @ Ape & Apple, Manchester. Clear, slightly darker copper in colour with decent frothy head. Has a light sweet fruitiness that takes some time to appear but lingers in the palate once it is there. Its nose has a sugary winter berry fruitiness to it, but again not overly stated.

Cask @ Manchester & County, Manchester. Lighter golden coloured with a frothy head. Has a hint of very smooth malts in its nose with a slightly smooth texture too. Session ale that’s easy drinking and very palatable, but not much to note in flavour or taste.

JDW Manchester & County 21 Jan 13. Brun. Lavt, litt farget skum som fester seg til glasset. Beskjeden fruktaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken starter fruktig og blir litt syrlig. Bra fylde.
