Very small tan head over Coca-Cola coloured beer. Sesame oil and other exotic herbs (I’ve had sesame oilflavour in other beers - I wonder what it causes, special sugars? yeast?). Rest is mainly some miscellaneous malts. Again traces of sesame, with the classical roasted porter notes (bitter coffee and chicory), and soja, it makes this into a bitterish version of terriyaki sauce. This is unsettling! Ends in a bit stoutlike (burnt grain) sourish. Gives a filled impression, but rather light, watery in reality; deceptive grist- & carbonised slickness. Not my favourite porter, not by a long way!

Cask (handpump) @ Market Porter, SE1, London. Clear yellow / amber color with a very small white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, hoppy, grass with some notes of honey, spices. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a short to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily.

Cask/gravity at Ipswich beer festival 21 Sep 2006. Dark brown coloured. Lightly roasted and fruity flavour. A nice bitterness emerges little by little. A bit watery overall impression.

Bottle picked up at Booths (by my dad) A very clear amber coloured bottle conditioned beer that is instantly malty with nice toffee notes, not as good as the ’Doff Cocker’ I had but very good all the same.

Bottle picked up at Booths (by my dad). Golden in colour with a sweet pleasant almost floral aroma. Taste is also pleasantly sweet but with nice biterness levels. Great bottle conditioned beer.

A clear red beer with a huge light brown head. The flavor is sweet spicy and the flavor is very spicy on a dry background.

A dark brown beer with a nice creamy brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of toffee, chocolate, and roasted malt - lovely. The flavor is smooth sweet with a nice mixture of dark malts, roasted bread, chocolate, slight coffee, turning almost burnt in the end. This is one heck of a light (4,8% ABV) Porter - I love it.
