Description
We are a 6BBL brewery fast out-growing our current site. Also combining a taproom and burger bar, our team are continually economising with space in order to maximise our postage-stamp-footprint.
Our site has a fascinating history. We opened in November 2017 and despite originally being built as a pub, the first ever pint poured here was a Steam Town one — one hundred and eleven years after the original application was rejected.
The name Steam Town is a nod to Eastleigh's rich industrial railway heritage, something we honour throughout the business — from original railway memorabilia and repurposed materials in the taproom, to our beer names and Heath-Robinson-inspired labels and pump clips.

Gravity cask at the 2018 Nottingham Beer Festival. Orange/gold and hazy with the tiniest bit of loose white head. Aroma has a lot of orange and lemon peel with a biscuity note to back it up. Taste is a bit jumbled however. There are are astringent grainy notes that jar against the flow of the hoppy bittersweet citrus. Long finish with bitter citrus pith lingering the back of the throat. Pretty good but lacking some cohesion.
