Description
We are a 6BBL brewery fast out-growing our current site. Also combining a taproom and burger bar, our team are continually economising with space in order to maximise our postage-stamp-footprint.

Our site has a fascinating history. We opened in November 2017 and despite originally being built as a pub, the first ever pint poured here was a Steam Town one — one hundred and eleven years after the original application was rejected.

The name Steam Town is a nod to Eastleigh's rich industrial railway heritage, something we honour throughout the business — from original railway memorabilia and repurposed materials in the taproom, to our beer names and Heath-Robinson-inspired labels and pump clips.

Half-pint, cask, shared with Finn at Nags's Head. Bubbles on the surface of an amber-brown body, fair lacing. Smell of bread and caramel-fruits, inviting. Fine blended taste of cereal malts, mid-sweet caramel and leafy hops. Earthy bitterness to the ending. Quite well bodied. Good, easy drinking. (Reading 19.11.2021).
