Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.

Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Can. Clear dark yellow colour with quick fading head. Base sweetness of pale malt. There's a touch of citrus in the background too.

Gravicask, half shared with Finn at St Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2023. A beige head over a near-black body, fair lacing. Smoothly roasted dark malty nose, scent of berry skins. Flavoured with chocolate malts and with a mild input of cheery. Lightly roasted end, with a touch of chocolate malts. Pretty decent. (St Albans, 27.09.2023).

Black with dark creamy head. Aroma and flavour have dark roasted malt bitterness balanced out by sweet Bourbon. Just slightly boozy in a good way. Silky texture.

Cask @ Mill Valley Brewery, Cleckheaton. Golden-blonde in colour with a creamy head. Full tasting texture, nice and hoppy - they nailed the beer notes on this one.

Black with creamy head. Aroma and flavour have heavily roasted malts. Some berry sweetness. Not so much vanilla. Good but misses layers, depth. Finish is a bit weak.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a hazy (very slowly clearing) golden brown with a sizeable off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has autumn fruits and marmalade. In the mouth there is an instant sharpness, with generic citrus, lemon, grapefruit and melon. Finish is bitter with just a little of the anticipated stickiness. I didn’t expect to like this at all, but it’s a decent IPA.
