Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.
Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Black with big fluffy head. Really strong bitter roasted malt flavour. Almost like treacle. Punchy. Touch of bay leaf in the aftertaste too.

27/9/2024. Cask at St. Albans Beer & Cider Festival 2024. As 4T’s English Stout, same abv. Pours close to black with a small frothy beige head. Good pour. Aroma is chocolate, malt, hop, light roasted malt, chocolate orange, hint of passion fruit and mushroom. Moderate sweetness and body. Moderate roasted bitterness. Quite smooth, soft carbonation. Drying roasted finish. Quite drinkable.

Handpull cask at the Star Inn, Huddersfield. I always feel a bit sad drinking a sporting event themed beer after England's exit but there we are. So, 4Ts' Three Lions: we have 0.75 Lions per T, or 1.33 Ts per Lion. Light to mid-gold and clear with a massive off-white/beige head. Light bready aroma, some hay/straw. Bittersweet taste with bittering hops taking centre stage in the finish. Light body, soft to medium carbonation. Oops I spilled some, now there's Three Lions on a shirt.

Gravity cask at the 2024 Leicester CAMRA Beer Festival, Abbey Pumping Station. Light gold and clear with a medium-sized white head. Light fruity aroma, a little muddled bit I'm getting berry, lemon balm, light floral notes. Subtle notes of citrus and berry on the taste with some astringent bitterness toward the drying finish. Slight to medium body, soft carbonation. There's a lot going on here.

Gravity cask at the 2024 Leicester CAMRA Beer Festival, Abbey Pumping Station. Mid to dark gold, dirty cloudy, with a medium-sized loose white head. Lemon peel and loads of white grapefruit pith in the aroma. Taste is surprisingly bitter, lots more grapefruit, big biscuity malt.massive bitterness in the finish. A bit homebrew-y but overall acceptable.
