Description
John Wilkinson owner & founder of 4T’s Brewery, worked as a drayman for Tetley Walkers (Warrington) and always explored the brewery grounds, from there he opened his own pub in 1998 called Wilkies Tavern which is now named The Tavern Sports Bar, which is a well-known cask ale pub in Warrington. His dream was to always start his own brewery and produce the styles of beers he loves.
Jordan Millington head brewer of 4T’s Brewery, worked at The Tavern Sports Bar since 2007 and always had a love for real ale. John gave him the opportunity to join the rising of 4T’s and he loves producing beers that everyone will love resulting in the slogan “satisfying taste buds everywhere”.

Can from Tick Beer. Hazy gold with moderate sized white head. Hoppy aroma of citrus, stone fruits and a hint of coconut. Taste of lemon, orange, apricot, coconut, light toasted malt, Somewhat sharp in its citrus notes and a dry finish. Light to medium bodied, refreshing and sessionable. Nice.

Can from Tick Beer. Clear gold with moderate sized white head, leaves nice lacing. Aroma is grassy, earthy, citrus and resin. Taste of mineral water infused with lemon drop sweets, somewhat dry. Pleasant enough but ultimately unsatisfying for an IPA. Slight chewiness to the medium body.

Can from Tick Beer. Pours amber with moderate sized off-white head, nice retention. Aroma of metal, pine resin, pear. Taste starts very astringent, resinous, vegetation, some stone fruitiness. As time goes on the astringency is reduced and the beer tastes more balanced. Just shy of medium body, mouthfeel is ok. Below average but not the stinker I thought it was going to be at first.

Can from Tick Beer. Pours black with small beige head. Lovely peanut butter aroma which dominates, some roastiness. Taste starts with peanut oil and burnt flavours, somewhat synthetic and unpleasant like I imagine drinking fuel to be. Second half of the flavour has really nice layers of peanuts, some chocolate, roast and is quite moreish. Not sure what to say! I both love and hate this beer with each sip.

Can from Tick Beer. Straw coloured with big foamy white head. Aroma of that typical kveik yeast fruity tang, dry and Bret like. Its all about the taste with this style as the aroma is rarely inviting. Quite a tart citric with softer melon flavour to mellow it, coconut water, piney and bitter in the finish. Light to medium bodied, drying close. Ah I don't know, its decent, there's a bit going on. It grew on me.

Can from Chester Beer & Wine. Hazy dark gold with small but consistent white head. Aroma is sweet, floral and earthy with stone fruit notes and some citrus rind. Taste is a little more malty than expected with peach, lemon rind, grapefruit, strawberry milkshake, light citrus tartness. Medium bodied. Surprisingly tasty.

Sheffield CAMRA Steel City Beer Festival 2024. Clear blonde in colour. Easy enough although its hops are fairly robust tasting.
